history
Smalto Group is today the only official retailer of Navigare in Italy and Europe across several product categories.
The company specializes in the research, production, and distribution of products for both major international brands and emerging labels, managing every stage of the process with care and professionalism.
Founded in 1986 by Pio Nicolini and Marina Renner, Smalto Group has always been a family-run business, synonymous with passion, experience, and reliability.
Originally active in the sale of fashion jewelry to large-scale retailers and wholesalers, the company gradually diversified its product range, introducing gift items, plush toys, and the iconic colorful plastic pacifiers, which became a true phenomenon in the 1990s.
In 1996, Smalto Group further expanded its business with the production and distribution of sunglasses for prestigious brands such as Arrogance, Ken Scott, Schumacher, Lumberjack, Asics, and Diego Dalla Palma.
To this day, the company directly oversees the selection of products for the brands under its license, maintaining a strong focus on quality, design, and the constant renewal of collections, with seasonal novelties that always reflect current market trends.
From 2000 to 2008, Smalto Group also managed the distribution of handbags for brands such as Ken Scott, Cosmopolitan, and Bizarre, further consolidating its expertise in the fashion and accessories sector.
Always attentive to evolving market trends and consumer needs, since 2004 the company has expanded its product range to include fashion accessories and has established strategic partnerships with renowned brands such as ASICS, Greenwich Polo Club, and above all, Navigare.
