COMPANY
Smalto Group remains, to this day, the sole official dealer of Navigare products in Italy for various product categories. The company specialises in sourcing products for both established brands and emerging businesses, overseeing their production and distribution within Italy
Founded in 1986 by Pio Nicolini, the company has remained a family owned business ever since.
Smalto Group initially focused on selling fashion jewelry to major retailers, later expanding into wholesale distribution.
Over time, its product range diversified to include gift items, plush toys, and the iconic plastic "dummies" available in various sizes and colours, which gained immense popularity in the 1990s.
In 1996, the company began producing and selling sunglasses for prestigious brands such as Arrogance, Ken Scott, Schumacher, Lumberjack, Asics, and Diego Dalla Palma.
To this day, Smalto directly oversees the selection of the products from the brands it licenses, maintaining a strong focus on quality and the continuously updating rof its assortment, with new collections introduced each season.
From 2000 to 2008, the company was engaged in the distribution of bags under various brands, including Ken Scott, Cosmopolitan, and Bizarre.
Always attuned to the market trends, Smalto expanded its product offerings in 2004 to include fashion accessories, and established commercial agreements with several brand dealers, such as ASICS, GREENWICH POLO CLUB, and NAVIGARE.
